Lendlease Reit – Under-appreciated reit; yields >7% per annum! (3 Jul 23)

Dear all Lendlease Reit (“Lendlease”) caught my attention as according to consensus, it offers a potential dividend yield of around 7.1% in each of FY23F and FY24F (financial year ends in June). Furthermore, 7 analysts have rated Lendlease a buy with average analyst target price $0.85, representing a potential capital appreciation of around 28.8%. Lendlease closed at $0.660 on 30 Jun 2023. For a reit, such returns, if they indeed materialise, are rather substantial. As such, this leads me to dig deeper into the reit. Last month, I am fortunate to meet Mr Kelvin Chow, CEO of Lendlease Global Commercial […]

Singapore – Asia’s worst equity market YTD, any opportunities ahead? (29 Oct 20)

In May 2019, I met Starburst’s Managing and Executive Director Mr Yap Tin Foo. Below are some of my takeaways from my discussion with him and from its recent results briefing.   Company description Quoting from Starburst’s press release, it is an engineering specialist in a niche industry, and designs, fabricates, installs and maintains […]

This is an all-time low price since its IPO (IPO offer price US$0.780) on 24 May 2019. Let’s take a look why this EHT has under-performed and why it has caught my attention this week.   Reasons why EHT has underperformed till date The below list […]

Brexit – which are the companies most exposed to UK? (15 Jun 16)

Dear all At the time of writing this article, STI has tumbled 121 points, or 4.2% from an intraday high of 2,882 on 9 Jun 2016 to trade at 2,761 on 15 Jun 2016. With Brexit’s concerns hanging over the equity markets like a sword of Damocles, I believe it is apt to review which are the companies with significant exposure to UK. According to a UOB Kayhian report dated today, Ascott Reit, City Development, CDL Hospitality, Comfort Delgro, Fraser Hospitality Trust, Ho Bee and SembCorp Industries were cited as companies with significant exposure to UK. (See Table 1 below) […]
